In big news for those of us watching Netflix’s smash hit Formula 1 docuseries Drive to Survive, and/or people who enjoy the face of Michael B. Jordan, yesterday we learned that Jordan, Ryan Reynolds, and Rob McElhenney have banded together (along with some unfamous people) to buy a 24 percent stake in the team Alpine, formerly known as Renault. Apparently this is not MBJ’s first ownership disco, as he has a minority stake in Bournemouth soccer club, and Ryan Reynolds has of course turned out to be quite the shopper1: In addition to profiting heftily from his stakes in Aviation Gin and Mint Mobile, he sits on the board of Match Group2, and has equity in Wealthsimple and Fubo TV3 — though arguably his most famous enterprise is Wrexham, the Welsh football club he and McElhenney invested in and made the subject of their FX4 docuseries Welcome to Wrexham.
