Oh Hell, It's Episode 2 of "Only Murders in the Building"
Our meaty -- literally -- recap of S4 E2, "Gates of Heaven."
For the second episode in a row, we are waiting for the characters to catch up with what we already know or which seems painfully obvious — namely, that Sazz was killed because someone assumed she was Charles. I’m not mad about it; this show can flarg around all day and still be entertaining. But most forward momentum for viewers comes from adding characters and indulging cameos. Oh, also, an important point of order: Someone alerted me to the fact that it’s not “Charles Haden-Savage,” as one might expect, but apparently “Charles-Haden Savage,” which feels like a deranged hyphen placement, and I want to know all the details.1 I hope it somehow connects to the murderer so that we get monologues about it. That would be super convenient for me. Were his parents in a fight and this was their stalemate? Is he from a long line of Charles-Hadens? Did someone lose a bet? And does Oliver know? Don’t you think Oliver would be calling him “Charles-Haden” all the time if he were aware of the doubl…
