Last July, we flipped through my favorite book in my collection of vintage etiquette books, 1978’s The Amy Vanderbilt Complete Book of Etiquette, edited by the former social secretary to Jacqueline Kennedy, Letitia Baldrige. She offered many notes for travel, including how to use a light bulb as an iron and what to do when you need an emergency wig stand.
