Ciao! I am delighted to report that I am soon fleeing the country, albeit it (hopefully?!?!?!?!) temporarily1. My husband and I are finally taking our honeymoon/celebrating my 50th (!!) birthday in Italy next month. (We got married nearly a year ago, but we wanted to save up some money before the honeymoon. You know how it goes.) Y’all were very helpful when Heather and her family went to France last year, so I am now throwing those doors open on my own behalf.
We are not going to be gone too terribly long — as much as I would like to take a month off to noodle around Italy, or, frankly, anywhere — and we are doing the classic First Visit to Italy scheme: Rome, Florence, and Venice.
