I didn’t predict Edward Enninful’s final cover of British Vogue, which is amazing because I floated enough other ideas that you’d think I’d have landed on “compilation” at some point. For the March 2024 issue, Enninful gathered 40 women who have appeared on the magazine since he began there, and the flashbacks in that speculation post may have prepared you pretty well for the faces you’ll see:

Part of the magic of this achievement is that usually, such covers are a slapdash cut-and-paste job where it’s so obvious nobody was in the same room, and someone is clearly slightly too large or small for the perspective to be correct.
