And Just Like That, The First Two Episodes Dropped. And...Ugh

Season one of And Just Like That… was a long, ranty road — a revival, or a New Chapter as they prefer to justify it, of Sex and the City that let down the characters and the audience over and over again, albeit in a way that at least helped me channel my rage about The World In General. The second season opened with two episodes that dropped at midnight Che Diaz Standard Time on June 22, which meant I woke up that morning and began my day with a chai tea and Miranda attempting to wriggle into a strap-on that came with a rainbow variety pack of dildos.
And yet, my overall note was, and I literally typed this, “BORING.”1 So far, And Just Like That2 is not especially fun, and only marginally less irritating — an improvement only if you were so wrung out from yelling at last season that even the tiniest extra amount of meat on the bone is welcome.
