I was buying my Christmas tree and minding my own business on Friday when I got the following text from Heather: “Kevin Costner and JEWEL?” Needless to say, this was not a romantic development I’d foreseen. TMZ, which broke the news of this new alleged entanglement, quoted two sources that both used the phrase “there was something going on” regarding the pair, and ran photos of them apparently from a few weeks ago on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in which they look decidedly cozy.
Per Page Six’s contemporaneous piece about that trip, recently unearthed by The Daily Mail, “sources said Costner seemed in high spirits and more interested in looking to the future than dwelling on his headline-making split from wife of 19 years, Christine Baumgartner.” I guess so! That one only mentions Our Lady of Who Will Save Your Soul in passing as one of several celebs present, including Michael Bolton and Emma Watson.
