The penultimate episode of Succession is in the books and, no surprise, it’s set up the finale next week to be a showdown between Shiv and her brothers (well, mostly Kendall). In Shiv’s eulogy for her father, she said that Logan “couldn’t fit a whole woman in his head,” and truly, the apples have not fallen far from the tree. To be frank, although (as ever) beautifully acted, this episode felt a little long — next week’s is set to run 90 minutes — and I wonder if the series needed one more episode this season to play with. Kathryn VanArendonk’s meditation on the three eulogies at Logan’s funeral is a great read and I don’t disagree with it, um, dramaturgically, but for my money, no matter how dynamic a per…
