Sometimes — albeit not recently — the Super Bowl is a big anticlimactic dud, but this was a fun one. The game even came with Officiating Drama at the end. Although I generally always want to see a game played without the officiating being a part of the story, I do enjoy the chaos that ensues when one fanbase feels robbed — and god knows complaining about the refs is an American tradition.
Congrats to the stadium in Glendale, which bookended the season with dumb grass controversies involving the Chiefs. Back in September, the Cardinals re-sodded the stadium before the season opener against KC, only to watch Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker slip on allegedly loose turf and hurt his ankle. For the season finale, the NFL spent $800,000 to install grass they started growing in May 2021… only to watch Butker slip again, along with Philly kicker Jake E…
