Welcome back to the White Lotus, where at least no one had their posture critiqued this week.
As much as I enjoy this show, the criticisms that this season is moving slowly are not wrong, and while previous seasons were also fairly languorous, the worm had begun to turn a bit more seriously by this point for the previous two, if I recall correctly. I could sum up this episode prettily easily with one liners for everyone, like a TV Guide episode description: “Facing time in federal prison, Tim very quickly descends into drug addiction,” or “Belinda discovers some bad news about an old friend,” or “Rick continues to share about Bangkok and his murdered father,” or “Kate, Jaclyn, and Laurie try and mostly fail to have fun outside of the hotel,” or “Gaitok is not cut out for a career working security.” There we go!
