Severence: Where We Left Them, and WTF Is Happening

A primer ahead of season two, and some pure speculation.

Severance finally returns on Friday (Jan. 17), almost three years since its season one finale aired, and I am stoked because I have questions. But I also realized that one of my questions was, “Wait, what all happened again?” I got seriously sucked into the first batch of episodes, to the point that when the finale aired, all I wanted to do was go on Reddit and consume people’s theories about it — but that quickly had diminishing returns, knowing how LONG it would be before we got any answers. Accordingly, the details seeped away from me. If you’re in that boat, too, then this post is for you!
