Yesterday, she smashed the 1500m freestyle — as she does — and set a new Olympic record, on the way to tying the American record for most Olympic medals won by a woman at 12, a record she now shares with swimmer Jenny Thompson. Track and field superstar Allyson Felix has 11; Simone Biles will have 9 if she medals today.
