Olympics Day 6 (7/31): Katie Ledecky Is Back In The Pool
And congrats to the U.S. women's gymnasts!

Congrats to all of the U.S. women, and a special hug to Hezly Rivera — our rookie who did not get on an apparatus on Tuesday because I guess the math wasn’t mathing and they needed other people’s scores — and Jade Carey, who only vaulted. Both of them were consummate teammates and cheering sections, and that cannot have been easy, but they are as integral a part of a five-woman squad as anyone else and I hope they’re snuggling those gold medals tightly.
Also, the women’s rugby was THRILLING. We are currently in Vegas with family, and we were watching it at Top Golf and yelling like crazy. This was a good strategy overall, actually, because when I needed a stress break from the gymnastics, I could just go thwack a golf ball. Highly recommend.
