Just when you think things cannot be as dramatic as they were the day before, I present to you:

Quincy Hall looked RUINED after the first 200 meters, and yet somehow, SOMEHOW, he gutted out a comeback, caught Matthew Hudson-Smith, and then surpassed him at the finish for gold. Hudson-Smith seemed astonished, as if he didn’t even quite register that Hall had closed the gap; I saw him crying on the shoulder of a relative after, and I hope it was with joy, because you are still a ROCK STAR, SIR.
