Natalie Finally Has Her Baby on The Bear
We recap episodes 7 and 8 of this otherwise pokey season.
Welcome back! First of all, this seems like the right place to note that last season of The Bear just got beaucoup Emmy nominations. (a) Congrats to them, well done! And also (b) cue the arguing about how wild it is that “Fishes,” the absolutely most stressful and upsetting episode of TV I saw last year, is considered comedic. Anyway. Speaking of Donna, she’s back! (And gets some redemption.)
As has been the case with previous episodes, very little actually happens in these two, although Natalie and Donna having an emotional breakthrough was obviously huge in terms of character development for both of them — that episode was like a two-person play in a lot of ways, and I thought it was a beautifully done. I cried! But there’s not a ton to recap, even if we still have a lot to discuss.
