The British Fashion Awards took place on Monday — if our CFDAs are the Oscars of clothing, then these are the BAFTAs — and none other than Law Roach hosted the red-carpet livestream. It was the first thing we’ve seen him branch out into since he walked away from styling, and given the eternal struggle to find anybody to host these mini-pageants who doesn’t make our eyes roll, I tuned in on Instagram Live to see how he did.
Hiring him certainly an interesting idea: Law is one of the undisputed experts in telling a story with clothes, and given how often his work graced the red carpet, it’s intriguing to think of him quizzing people from the other side. And he has experience with television, having been a judge on the rebooted America’s Next Top Model, which lasted one season with Rita Ora as host and then one more after Tyra swooped back in to replace her.
