Colin Saves Penelope From Death by Balloon on Bridgerton
It's the recap of S3 E3, "Forces of Nature," and his hormones are raging.
If you’re familiar with the books, this episode deviates quite a bit from them, in several ways: the introduction of a new suitor for Penelope; a new lovahhhh for Benedict, whose main function in the series is to spread his seed far and wide; and a whole bunch of half-baked drama about a hot-air balloon that very nearly leaves a harrowing bruise on Penelope Featherington’s comely face.
The show seems to posit that a man named Lord Hawkins, in this period somewhere around 1816 I believe, has invented the hot-air balloon and is presenting this modern marvel to a room of skeptics at one of the Queen’s parties. In actuality, manned hot-air balloon flights had been going around for a while, thanks to a bunch of French dudes, though obviously the most significant advances came courtesy of the Muppets in the opening credits of The Great Muppet Caper.
