Last week, I almost wrote a piece about how underwhelming all the Fashion Weeks felt this season — even the highly touted debut of Sarah Burton at Givenchy was a bit of a shrug — but then I realized two things: One, it was SO banal that I could barely remember anything that came down the runway and so I was missing specifics, and two, I’ve been feeling this way for a while about fashion weeks and styling in general. Now, the industry is trying its best to gin up drama by shuffling the designer deck. What does any of this mean if you, like me, are more of a casual watcher? Here’s a rundown:
