Wait, am I suddenly recapping The X-Files again?!
WE HAVE MUCH TO DISCUSS, namely that this show is truly hitting on all cylinders this season and we are in full soap opera mode (COMPLIMENTARY). Did I low-key scream at the end, when an assassin came into George’s office and shot him? Yes. Did I think maybe they were going to use Risley Sage’s real life bag-o-dynamite assassination attempt? Yes! Am I worried that George is actually dead-dead? Not really — even though Morgan Spector is teasing it! — if only because the Next On made it pretty clear that everyone was still attending a ball that would for sure be cancelled if he were. (I wish this episode had skipped the Next On for purposes of suspense.) Is it possible George is in a COMA or somehow otherwise temporarily incapacitated? YES, and if so, I hope Bertha steps in and runs Trains ‘n’ Things with élan, so she finally gets some respect around that house.
