HUGE NEWS for the seven of us who are still watching Grey’s Anatomy: FINALLY, FINALLY!!!! Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen Hunt, is leaving the show. So is Kim Raver, who plays his… well, it’s complicated. I guess “current semi-ex-wife” is the best way to put it. Presumably, these two characters are riding off into the sunset together — the current showrunner, Meg Marinis, noted that “while their story is coming to a close, this is never truly a goodbye,” and Shonda Rhimes wrote, “it is both bittersweet and joyful to give this couple the happy ending their story deserves,” so it certainly doesn’t seem like they’re both going to die in a surprise volcanic eruption. Although I HATE OWEN and I would argue that him being slowly enveloped by molten hot lava would be a happy ending their story deserves!
